These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of SmartCollect (the "Platform") by citizens, urban local bodies (ULBs), collection agencies, and their authorized staff (together, "Users"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
SmartCollect is a multi-tenant platform: each ULB that deploys SmartCollect operates as an independent tenant with its own citizens, contracted agencies, and staff. These Terms apply to every tenant unless a separate agreement between the platform operator and a specific ULB says otherwise.
Citizens authenticate with a one-time password sent to a registered mobile number. Staff accounts (ULB admin, agency admin, field agent, super admin) are provisioned by an administrator and authenticate with a username and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
Raising a pickup request does not guarantee a specific collection time; requests are routed automatically to the agency mapped to your ward and scheduled according to that agency's operating capacity. Collection type availability, quantity requirements, and barcode/discharge verification are configured independently by each ULB.
Charges are calculated automatically from the applicable tariff for your building type and collection type. Payment can be made online or on-site via a dynamic QR code presented by a field agent. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for how cancellations, failed payments, and refunds are handled.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how it is used.
Accounts, agencies, or entire ULB tenants may be suspended for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at the request of the relevant administrator. Suspension may restrict access to historical records until reinstated.
The Platform is provided on an "as is" basis. While we work to keep routing, tariff calculation, and payment reconciliation accurate, the platform operator is not liable for delays, missed collections, or losses arising from incorrect data entered by ULBs, agencies, or citizens.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent via our Contact page.
